Hello all.
I am new to webmaster forums but I hope to hang around and contribute where I can.
I live in the UK, work for the National Health Service, and sometimes feel like I'm getting very old.
I have just started a new site directly because of forums like this one. So many threads seem to centre around the question "Where can I find someone to exchange links with ?" that I have started a new directory just carrying links to sites that are willing and wanting to exchange links. Nothing fancy, nothing to scare the search engine bosses, Just a plain old directory of sites looking to swap links.
This is brand new. Launched just 12 hours ago, and I am looking to populate the directory ( its empty at the moment ) so if you want to find link exchanges come over and apply to list your site. Its free for now but this wont last long ( well, I hope not anyway ).
I also want to build up a library of Linking related articles on the site so if anyone feels like writing..... Informational, discussional, humorous, all welcome.
Sorry this is a bit self promotional but you did say you want to know what I am doing....
Graham

Hi Graham and welcome! Nice idea for a website. I'm sure you will find a few people around willing to contribute to help kickstart it.

Thanks for your welcomes.
Webmistress... I am not far from you. Just a couple of counties up in South Oxfordshire. How old am I ? Unfortunately, probably about the same age as your father, but that seems to apply for most people on the web
I have this gut feeling that this site could become important ( dont we all have that feeling about our sites ? ) and BIG. Difficult bit is to get it kick started and widely known !!!
Rereading my first post I see I made a bad choice of words. I wasn't meaning that the search engine bosses would/would not be scared. I was saying that there was nothing at Backlinkers.com that could get you penalised.
Again, thanks for your welcomes.

Hi
It is always a problem knowing when to join in as a new member. It seems sort of presumptive to just jump in but then if I didn't you woouldn't knoww I was here anyway would you ...
I have been looking around for a new forum where you can have a serious conversation without getting overly rigid about a little bit of self promotion in the signature lines. Maybe I have found the right place.
