A geek? How chic!
Bonjour webmistresses and masters!
Briefly, I'm Laura, (another) webmistress from Southern Ontario (London & Toronto, to be exact). I'm a student at the University of Western Ontario, studying music (Renaissance/Baroque Performance, Music Theory) and math who is just begging for a severe case of RSI. That meaning I spend enough volunteer hours on my computer creating webpages for choirs, student groups, my university, and individuals. I really should get paid for this one day...
An active webmaster forum is an invaluable resource. Thanks for being here!

Well, it's more a matter of me being too nice about things and saying "sure, I'll spend 40 hours making a website for you" than inability. Actually, I lied. My university pays me for my work study hours. You gotta start somewhere, eh?
Just out of curiousity, how much would one charge for a 15-page layout like the one I'm working on at fomsc.ca?

Hi there chicgeek, welcome to the forums.
Although it is a general policy that we don't actually state any prices here, all I can say is just have a hunt around see what everyone else in your area is offering see if you can beat it
Again, welcome to the forums, nice to have yet another female in the community

Strange there seems to be an influx of ladies to the forums recently - not a bad thing
It's a good thing to have a portfolio of sites, even if you've had to do them for free. If you can show them to potential customers then they'll make you profit in the long term!
Welcome - hope you enjoy your time here.

Indeed, I have a collection and once began working on that... I think I shall have to return to that project.
Thanks everyone.
