My name is brian. and I just stumbled onto the site via a Google search. Wow!Must say, I love the design of the site, as well as the friendly atmosphere.
I'm looking forward to becoming a helpful member of the site.
I live in the San Francisco Bay Area with my finace Cynthia, and our beautiful 3 month old daughter, Amber Nyah. Like every new dad does, here's a picture of her as we went home from the hospital:

I joined the community because I have been looking for a friendly site where I can continue my webmaster-related education. I also want to be able to share what I have learned over the years with those who are new to the whole internet experience.

Thanks for writing! I have actually been having 2nd thoughts about the design. Though the layout is uncluttered, it might not be professional enough for the the service I'm offering. Sooo, I might have to look around for a new design.
Anyway, I am indeed enjoying the forums. What a cool site, and I really dig the design. It has sort of a retro feel, which is inviting & comfortable. =)

Why don't you put your site up for critique and see what others have to say? I think that with a little tweaking it could be alright. I didn't really notice any problem with the design at first. I was more interested in the content.
