Website Design Ideas?

Sheesh, I have a client that is wanting a website for like a youthgroup type thing and I'm having a tough time coming up with a good way to implement a design. The main problem is that he wants the colors to incorporate like a teal color with brown/tan. In my opinion, that's pretty ugly but that is what he wants. He already has a logo too, which has different shades of teal and then some white in it. Any ideas or pictures of examples will be appreciated greatly.

The conception of a logo starts with the idea to personify a company’s image using graphic design. There is literally no captivity of thoughts when it comes to designing a logo. So in a nut shell, an ideal logo is a lengthy process.

A clean layout that uses lots of white space enhances the appearance of a site. Make sure all your important links are at prominent places. Preferably just above which is normal when a visitor sees first. Enjoy the menus to the right and left.

See when you are working for a client then you have to do what he does like weather it is ugly or beautiful. So just do what he is asking you to do. It is as simple as that

Some good answers so far. It can be a challange getting everything just right but I always feel as if it's a work in progress.

I would suggest keeping things as simple as possible, it can really backfire on some sites that are way over the top and out of control. It's important that the users understand the site they are using, by this I don't just mean the text they are reading or the images they see but the overall make up of the site.

Dear friend!!
I found this one the had a nice blue and yellow combination with a hint of gray colored backgrounds and pale yellow for the navigation hover effect. These colors work really well together and I think I’ll be using this color scheme for my own project its really help you.

The ideas shared by all here are really very nice. Well, the design of website and the color combination should be catchy that can grab the attention and attraction of visitor just in first look. A site should be user friendly and the content publish on it should be unique and fresh.

Ladies and Gentlemen: I am a novice webpage designer attempting to provide e-mail subscription code so readers can signup to receive updated releases of my newsletter.

I have designed an entry page that I plan on adding links to each new newsletter as it is published. The old newsletters will not be overwritten by new ones.

Logically, to me anyway, it seems unlikely that I want to add a subscription link to each newsletter. So, can anyone give me a tip or two about how I might solve this problem?

Here's a link to the webpage. The first newsletter is the link to vol. 125 at the bottom of the page.

Thanks very much!

You should incorporate the purpose of the client's website. Make it from an idea into reality.
