I just don't get it - Style Sheets

This really annoys me because I am generally pretty sharp in learning new stuff. I have read different stuff about style sheets and tried to make them work on my sites. I don't know if anyone can explain this to me or show me an example of how it works. I have searched this subject and looked at different online tutorials but it just does not make any sense to me. I'm so frustrated. Confused

If you don´t have the nerve to read a lot, but rather play around with given examples, I recommend this one:

It´s easy to copy and paste the given examples and they´re meant to be.

What do you mean you dont get it. All your doing is specifying all the styles like borders backgrounds fonts etc in one stylesheet which referes to different classes .
Not sure what there isnt to get?
