Hi!

I was wondering if someone could help me here. When you go to my site at: www.1simple.com in Netscape 3.0 it doesn't look right. When you look at it through Netscape 4.0, Ie 3.0 & 4.0, its fine.

Can someone tell me what's wrong in the html that is making it mess up??

I have tried for hours and have given up.

Thanks for your time.

Curtis

Netscape 3 often gets into trouble with nested table layouts. The more nesting, the harder it is to pinpoint the trouble. From what I could see, NS3 wasn't sure about the width for the first column- and made it long while leaving the second column shoved to the right and thin.

Your best bet would probably be to redo the table scheme so that there is less nesting.

I would suggest creating a single table for your spacer and logo graphic, and ending that table.

Next, you can create the table for the two cloumns of information. You can nest two tables with 250 pixels widths inside a 500 or 600 pixel outside table. Then end this table before starting the rest of the content.

For the rest, use another single table (or use nesting if you have spacing concerns, but only nest once here) for the rest of the text.

You would have something like this:

TABLE
...logo...
/TABLE

TABLE
...NESTED TABLE 1
...1st cloumn...
.../NESTED TABLE 1
...NESTED TABLE 2
...2nd column...
.../NESTED TABLE 2
/TABLE

TABLE
...more content...
/TABLE

Let me know if this helps, if you want to discuss the idea further send me an email and I'll get back with you. Best of Luck to you!

John.
good point, I now set up my pages like this with a small table for logo + banner and then another table for the content.
