Okay, so, I don't know if I'm missing something here. We are using this theme successfully on ChezBardon.com with no problems (although we are not using it as an admin theme, and, as I mentioned in the article, it's a pretty simple site). This was such an easy process, and so much cleaner than starting from another theme. I'm not sure if I'm missing some reason why instructions usually tell you to start from something else...

My experience with theming is somewhat limited, having only worked on 3 sites (including the one described in the article). But, I found the process described in the article to be infinitely superior to the alternative which I followed for the other two sites. I am very tempted to re-do the TWF/APC theme this way too...
