I've been tasked with re designing the following site, www.bluetelecom.co.uk. Firstly, the introductory flash intro must remain, its to do with the brand identity. However, once into the main site, I can pretty much do what I want. The logo and colours really should stay similar.
I do hundreds of these jobs a year, and for the first time, I am stuck. I dont know why im stuck! I just cannot do anything I am happy with. The logo is very difficult to intergrate into designs (it cannot be modified) and I dont want to paticularly use a template.
I guess what I'm after is an experts onpinion on how one could improve this site. Perhaps ideas and where to go next. It needs improving and modernising, but without anything to dramatic and yet at the same time, perhaps a nice wow factor!
Any ideas!? Im happy to pay!?

Still stuck on this. I meant to reply earlier, but never got the time. Have you thought of doing something very minimalist with this? Really making their logo stand out?
Basically clean it right up, use a really strong grid, put the logo on the left (or cunningly aligned with something else to make it quirky) make a nice, thin column of text and possible add a--very subtle--drop shadow to the logo. Whatever you do, get rid of those swathes of blue, the box-itis and tedious stock photo of the irrelevant bird-with-a-phone.

Thankyou, yes it does help a bit. What a weird project eh!? I just am stumped, think your right about a narrow column of content, thats good, and I hate stock photography too!
Grrr I hate not knowing what to do straight away, !!!

Cool, glad I could help, just a little. It is a weird project, particularly having to keep that Flash animation on the homepage.

1. ok definitely narrow column down the middle
2. stop the logo from animating when you get to the main site
3. get better photos, they look sort of generic check flickr and gettyimages for some other stuff
4. top blue bar all the way across, content down the middle, menu bar down the left side of the content column
5. hotter more professional looking people in the pictures
