I've had websites on these servers for six years and never used this function.

Devhelper is named in some very vauge instructions.

It's probably my lack of knowedge of how to set up or even use a web browser for FTP...

What type of control panel do you have with the account?

Many servers have a public_ftp folder or something named similarly. If you can find anything with that name, try putting something in there. Then try surfing to ftp://ftp.affordable-fuel-injection.com/ and see if you see it listed.

The folder is there. I can see it when on the server in WSftp and get in but can't put files there. Seems I've tryed changing permissions from 755 to 777 with no results...

There's no way to absolutely tell without looking on the server itself.

The error message I get says no such file or directory, but it could just as easily be a permissions issue.

The folder itself is set up from them.

I can't seem to access it. There is nothing in it yet, or password. They aren't much help.

The problem is that every server is set up differently. The best place to look for help is with the people who host your space. They should have a tech support area on their website, or at least a tech support email address.

Am I in the wrong forum for FTP help?

Any links to setting up a FTP for newbies?

I've added an FTP folder through the server but can't access, does there have to be an index or dir ?
