    <description> &lt;p&gt;Sorry, I wasn&#039;t firing on all cylinders last night - I also have MS Money in the mix. If you&#039;re starting from scratch, go Quickbooks but I&#039;d been using MS Money for quite some time and have been too lazy to make the transition. I really only use this to integrate the cash into my financial blooodstream and to track expenses.&lt;/p&gt;

    <description> &lt;p&gt;i use excel to keep track of many things, and macro&#039;s arent even needed.  simple built-in excel functions do the trick, you just have to put them together right.&lt;/p&gt;

    <description> &lt;p&gt;Actually, for both project management and client management, I get by pretty well with Outlook and some custom Excel workbooks that have taken shape over the last few years. I&#039;ve experimented with various apps and frankly find them overkill. &lt;/p&gt;
