I've got my hands on a Windows 7 RC copy and just wondered what other people thought of it?

So far I am really enjoying it and I am using it as my base OS now, even while it type this Smiling

The task bar is a nice change, the preview on hover before you select a window can be a little annoying at first as it takes you a little bit longer to get to where you want to go.

Another down fall is that I cannot get Ultramon x64 to work on it, something I relied on with vista and XP.

Anyway, what does everyone else think?

I've been running the RC for a couple of months now, and quite like it as well.

None, though my requirements are pretty straight forward...
- JVM and JDK
- Netbeans
- Apache22 / PHP / Postgres
- Glassfish
- Thunderbird
- Pidgin (IM Client)

I love windows 7, it's user friendly, faster, secure, and it has a great drivers database, so if you have middle-old hardware it will have the drivers, and if it's up to date, maybe not.

I have a desktop PC and I recently upgraded its operating system to Windows 7. Once the upgrading was done, searching and organizing files became much simpler. Different people will talk about different features that Windows 7 comes equipped with but if u ask me, I ll say that I am profoundly impressed with the multimedia capabilities of the latest Windows 7 from Microsoft.

The good thing about Windows 7 its security as compare to XP. and other is its problem finding ability. Just one click on your problem and solution is in front of you.

It still amazes me how "secure" your wireless settings are. Go to someones house, use their laptop for 15 seconds and you have their wireless key.

Windows 8 definitely surprised me with the default interface that comes up... I'll be one of those who disable it back for the standard workings (I did similar with XP, set it back to look like 2000, ran better on older systems since the "XP look" took up an additional 16 megs of ram (yeah, no big deal now, but back when you only had 128megs ram... that was over 10%)

Well, i have used Windows 7 it is the good, fast and secure but in this operating systems many features are not working properly and do not allow you to install any software that's why i quit using this Operating system, i think Windows Xp is the best and much better than Windows 7.
