Hi All,
I just got a Linksys Router for my home network and was wondering if anyone had any great ideas on how to allow AIM to transfer files? I haven't been able to find much info on the Net. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance
Jonny:)

I've had problems with ICQ and file transfer myself.
I just DMZ myself, transfer the file, and un-DMZ myself.

This may help.
Q: Does the Cable/DSL router support ICQ send file?
A: Yes, with the follwing fix:
ICQ menu-> preference -> connections tab->
check "I am behind a firewall or proxy " and set the firewall time out to 80 seconds in firewall setting, then Internet user can send file to user behind router for the fist time connection!

I dont have anything that says "I am behind a firewall or proxy". I even looked at ICQ FAQ page for firewalls. Looks like their not up to date for ICQ 2000b beta4.6

Hi Mark,
Its actually under the Connections tab under preferences. It took me a lil while to find it to. If you go here you can get some more help on it.

Let me know if you need any more help. I also think I figured out my AIM problem, I just am waiting for a friend to sign on to test it.
