Hello all, I hope you can help. I had a virus that attached a toolbar to IE. After removing it and it's components using Norton AntiVirus, I am no loger able to hide and/or show other toolbars (like Google or SearchBlissToolbar). In other words, "View > Toolbars" opens a disabled menu. I tried "Start > Settings > Control Panel > Microsoft Internet Explorer and Internet Tools > Repair Internet Explorer" and that didn't work. Any ideas??? Confused

Did you uninstall the old IE and the toolbars (via control panel - add remove programs) before you intalled the fresh version?

Back when I used IE, there were times when I just had to reinstall Windows because of IE problems. Unfortunate, but because of the extensive integration into Windows, it can be necessary.

Thankfully, I now use Firefox.

You should re-install your browser. Otherwise you can try opera, google chrome etc.

I think its better to reinstall your IE. I hope the error will be fixed after reinstalling.
