IE 6 Freezing Up

I have had this problem for a while now. On my PC at home, I will open IE6 access a web page and after a few clicks the browser will lock up.

I have tried upgrading to Firefox or IE7 but the machine does not like that either, after the restart I am left with IE6 the same.

Any ideas?

Firefox is your safest bet or Opera. What do you mean by "..after the restart I am left with IE6 the same"? You mean as a default browser? Just use Firefox, then setting it as default browser.

Tray also scanning your machine for some spywares and trojans...

You do need to get off IE6, preferrably to Opera or Firefox. Smiling

In what way did your machine not like you using IE7 or Firefox, what happened? As Demonhale mentioned, check your PC out with a virus/spyware checker, sounds like it might be borked. IE6 isn't so bad that it should lockup your whole machine. Smiling
