I start net business on Jan 2005. I work only 4 hours a day using ARC Plus glass. My eye problem starts on October.

My doctor told no problem in my eye. He gives me drops for two month. It not reduces my eye problem.

Now, I think to stop computer working. Please help me solve my eye problem giving best idea.

what problem do you have with your eye? sometimes its not the eye, its the muscles around the eyes, try to work only 2 hours straight then rest for an hour, then go back to work... exercise your eyes by looking up, down , left, right, round and repeat 3 times... Dont wash eyes after using computer, and try to look at greenery and ocean once in a while...

Try adjusting the brightness and contrast and if you screen has one the backlight. I had a similar problem with a screen about a year ago and it turn out it was just way to bright.

Have you actually had your eyes tested to see if you need to wear glasses?

Also make sure to take regular breaks and look away from the computer at certain intervals. You can find break reminder software to remind you automatically after a certain amount of time.

Break reminder software... wow that sounds like the sort of thing that would piss me right off after about 5 minutes because you know it is always going to pop up right when you are in the middle of doing something import!!!

Yeah, I can't see that being anything but annoying. To each his own, I suppose.

pls check for a suitable filter to be used. There are a variety out there to suit each condition. Also computer glasses for people to be worn are also available. Check with your optomologist or eye specialist on this.

thanks

there is a lot to resoliving eye problems whilst using computers. Its usually ALWAYS down to your office layout.

1. check that any tube lightines have diffusers on them and that they are not directly in front of above your vdu.
2. check that the monitor is not facing a window, or away from a window. It should always be at roughly a 90 degree angle away from any windows.
3. Check there are no glass windows in front of the monitor as it causes no end of reflections.
4. Try having a screen filter installed.
5. Check that you are looking at a slight down angle to the monitor.
6. Check the refresh rate of your monitor and your resolution. Ideally your refresh rate should be no lower than 85hz. If your adapater won't allow that kind of refresh rate, lower the screen resolution. If you still cant get that low, change your monitor.

well what you can do is to get a screen protector, they sell special ones for the ones who have problems in the eyes and at the same time lower de brightness and contrast of your monitor, I hope that you get better soon
