The laptop keep saying "password is incorrect" during login. It is a backup machine that is not used frequently. I remembered the password I input is the right one. Don't know why the error pops up after update. Is this a common case?

I personally used ntpassword to reset my windows 7 password, you boot from a burned disc or flash drive created with the Offline NT Password & Registry Editor ISO file. After running the program, you can log in to your Windows account without entering a password at all.

if ntpassword won't work, also try some other tool like UUkeys, tunesbro and more..

and more...

I tried UUkeys and it works fine. Thanks for the suggestion

I've tried many ways to ensure that NT passwords can only work on Windows 7,or not the Windows 10 , and the Uukeys ,Tunesbro are not free tools , maybe the lifewire can help us ,
